Two pilot sessions of TMap® Next examinations in English were held in Minneapolis (MN) USA on February 11 and 12 2008. Host of these exam pilots for TMap® Next was Sogeti USA. In both pilots 13 candidates from throughout the United States participated, all being TMap specialists. In general, both exams were estimated as fair regarding the difficulty level and in line with the expectations of the candidates. EXIN is very pleased 92% passed both the Foundation exam and the Advanced exam. This score is above the average pass rate for this type of exams.
Feedback Following each pilot examination, a feedback session was held in order to gather remarks and recommendations for improvement. The candidates provided specific feedback and suggestions on a question level relating to the language used and content of the exam.Thanks to this feedback, EXIN can further improve the quality of these new exams.
What’s next? The coming year, this peer group will be involved in the further expansion of the TMap® Next Certification Program in the USA. They will provide training for Sogeti consultants and their clients in collaboration with EXIN USA. The exam development team of EXIN International will not only be working on the improvement and expansion of English TMap® Next Certification, but also on the availability of the exam products in other languages (i.e. Dutch and German).
TMap® In 2007 EXIN has released a new certification based on the Test Management Approach, called TMap® Next. Based on the new book “TMap® Next for Result Driven Testing”. The Test Management Approach TMap® is an important and standardized method for anyone endeavoring to understand how business-driven test management fits within the context of the end-to-end process of business driven development. TMap® is one of the important instruments to assure the quality of IT products.
