Italian ISO/IEC 20000 exam in pilot

29.5.2008

On May 23rd 2008 two pilot sessions for the ISO/IEC 20000 Foundation exam in Italian were held in Rome. These pilot exams were hosted by Quint Italia and BITIL, and 25 candidates participated in the pilot exam. With a pass rate of 96% the candidates have scored above the average pass rate for this type of exams. Not all candidates participating in the exam are ISO/IEC 20000 specialists, which makes the pass rates even more impressive. Consequently EXIN is very pleased with the results.

Feedback
Following each pilot examination, a feedback session was held in order to gather comments and recommendations for improvement relating to the Italian language used and the content of the exam.  In this case the feedback given during this pilot mainly regards the localization of the exams. The candidates provided specific feedback and suggestions on a question level related to linguistic and cultural issues. Thanks to this feedback, EXIN can further improve the quality of this new Italian exam.

What’s next?
EXIN is currently working on the development of exams on the professional level of the ISO/IEC 20000 Qualification Program. The professional exams will be localized at a later stage. For instance, in January 2009 the exam leading towards the Professional Certificate Management and Improvement of ITSM Processes according to ISO/IEC 20000 will be available in Italian.
