EXIN honors best in the industry at itSMF Australia

EXIN is proud sponsor of the itSMF Industry Awards presented at the itSMF Australia national conference ‘LEAD IT’ to be held in Melbourne on August 23-25. itSMF Australia has developed this award program to showcase the best achievements in the industry over the past year.

Award categories
As a world leader in IT certification, EXIN encourages top talent and innovation in IT Service Management. To show support for outstanding IT Service Management, EXIN and other IT leaders will be presenting the following awards:

  • Project of the Year – Best ITSM implementation
  • Innovation of the Year
  • Service Management Champion of the Year
  • Service Desk Team Project of the Year
  • Student of the Year

“EXIN is particularly proud to sponsor the award for Service Desk Team Project of the Year,” said Shirley Campbell, Area Sales Manager for EXIN South Pacific. “During these difficult economic times where organizations are being forced to reduce cost, it has been proven that the implementation of sound IT Service Management principles such as defined through the ITIL and ISO20K frameworks can have significant positive impact on the cost had effectiveness of IT service delivery. Organizations are thus able to do more with less, all of which is in keeping with EXIN’s mission to improve the quality of the IT sector, the IT professionals and the IT users.”

ITSM is about the people
Alejandro Debenedet, a key EXIN representative at these events and worldwide speaker on IT certification issues, agrees that this is one EXIN’s most visible ways to support excellence in the industry. “These are real people, doing the real work of ITSM. We always encourage innovative thinking in IT Service Management and so do our training partners. It wouldn’t surprise me if even some of the winners were certified by EXIN,” said Debenedet.

EXIN will be presenting the award for Service Desk Team Project of the Year and EXIN South Pacific will be nominating top EXIN candidates for the Student of the Year award. EXIN representatives will also be on hand at the conference to meet with candidates and partners, and will be participating in other event activities.

Rules of the game
Nominations for the awards are open and not restricted to itSMF Australia members only. Eligibility and judgment criteria are detailed in the brochure, but the essential question is, “How does this project provide exceptional value and service to both the business and its customers?”

Submissions will be judged by an impartial panel of from experienced itSMFA members. Judges will look at important areas such as process, measurement, customer satisfaction, management, technology, complexity and results. The winners will receive a range of prizes for achievements including an inscribed trophy, gala tickets, special certificates of recognition, exclusive permission for use of logos and permanent recognition in itSMFA publication.

Closing Date for Submissions
Submissions for Project of the Year, Innovation of the Year, Service Management Champion and Service Desk Project of the Year must be received by itSMF Australia no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

Submissions must include an original and four copies and should be either mailed or delivered to:
